When Nike acquired the contract for the National Football League (NFL), this internationally renowned brand and sports industry icon needed to create a unique visual language for its target audiences. Teaming with Nike’s global brand designer, Attain Design had the honor of creating and unveiling the first face of Nike Football.
The process began with a series of photo shoots, featuring 32 NFL athletes in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Portland, where Attain Design provided artistic direction. In essence, the photo shoot captured these “warriors” in motion on a small stage. Unique backdrops from the field were added in post. The resulting images captured the grit and excitement of the sport that became the face of Nike Football that appeared in various advertising and promotional venues.
We created the communications deck – driving the look and feel of all messaging and dictating how the brand would appear in media, retail and sporting environments. In addition, Attain Design assisted in the development of the brand’s Creative Brief, the basic formulas and strict guidelines – fonts, colors, logo placements – that all designers must adhere to with regards to Nike/NFL football.
